Working with Clinical Negligence Teams

Clinical negligence, also known as medical negligence, occurs when a healthcare professional fails to provide adequate care, resulting in harm to the patient. These cases can be complex and require a thorough understanding of medical terminology and procedures. In addition, they may involve reviewing and collating extensive medical records.

At MRC, we specialise in medical record collation and chronology, offering a range of services to assist with clinical negligence cases. Our team of experienced professionals includes trained nurses, trained dentists, and other highly experienced medical practitioners.

Our Services Include

  • Sorting & Indexing: Sorting the records makes it much easier for you and your experts to review and will save you time and cost when working on your case. First, all records we receive are organised by source – GP, Hospitals and any other healthcare providers. Then we sort the records for each source into categories (correspondence, clinical records, investigations etc.). Finally, we sort the records into order by date.

  • Indexing: Our indexes are tailored to your case and will direct you to the areas relevant to the case. Each page is given a unique number, making the records easier to work with and navigate.

  • Chronologies and Summaries: We provide detailed chronologies and summaries of medical records to assist with case preparation. After we have sorted your records, we will provide you with a medical chronology containing a factual, concise and informative medical timeline of the claimant’s relevant medical history.  Our chronologies include relevant visits to their GP, relevant hospital and outpatient clinics, inpatient stays and any comments from the treating medical provider regarding the cause of the injury.

  • Memo: With every Chronology, you’ll receive a Memo as well which details: Any missing, incomplete or illegible records, a brief summary of the case, an outline of the salient medical aspects of the case, the relevant type of specialist you may wish to instruct & questions our analysts believe you may wish to ask your expert’s opinion on.
  • Radiology: We sort your radiology images into order and add notes as well as a summary.
  • Missing Records: We can work directly with healthcare providers to obtain all relevant medical records for your case. This includes medical notes, diagnostic reports, and any other relevant documentation. We will also highlight any missing records for you.

At MRC, we understand the importance of providing thorough and accurate medical record collation for clinical negligence cases. Our services are designed to streamline the process and provide our clients with the information they need to build a strong case
